Big Artiz
Ages 9 – 15
The Big Artiz Club is ideal for children and teenagers who are ready to build foundational and technical skills. This may take the form of acrylic painting and working with pencils. After each artist masters the foundation, a caring instructor will begin working with him or her to create and develop a personalized art portfolio. A portfolio is especially important for when the time comes to apply high schools that specialize in the arts or are entirely 'arts focused.' By utilizing the foundational skills studied in this program, artists will eventually 'branch out' and work to develop and refine their own unique art style.
Ongoing Weekly Sessions
Continuous practice in a safe, creative, space is essential to honing artistic skills. That's why we have weekly sessions which allow for plenty of opportunity to learn, grow, and improve.
International & National Art Competitions
Students have the exciting opportunity to join our art competition group. By becoming a part of our competition troupe, students have the exciting chance to enter a variety of competitions throughout the year. Adding this to a student's resume or portfolio sets them apart from other art students in prospective secondary programs.
Build Foundational Art Skills
Students learn how to move from an idea to a tangible, finished product. Learning the process of creating a piece from start to finish helps our artists with visual-spatial awareness, problem solving skills, and developing grit.
Creative Learning Across Disciplines
It all begins with an idea. Maybe your child has an idea for a business. Perhaps he or she has a creative concept to share with the world. Many of the most famous "movers and shakers" of our society credit art lessons and classes to their success in other fields. Learn how to turn conceptual visions into tangible entities all through the artistic process.
